Our goal is to offer the best tools for PGA DFS and Golf Betting, that are also extremely easy to use. When developing the Player Profiles, we felt it was best to focus only on the current field.

Why? First this allows us to pre-build the data and charts with course/event specific data that is immediately useful for your research that week. No need to worry with filtering on that week's event, we wanted all tools ready without users having to get them "set up" each week, which we find is extremely beneficial...no wasted time filtering on the current course.

The second reason is that we believe most people using the tools have a focused purpose of researching for that week's event, not researching all players or comparing careers. So for that reason, we simply set up the tool for only the current field. This will keep most people's research more focused, knowing that every player in the dropdown is playing that week.

These terms are interchangeable, but any stats that are listed as rData (prefixed with r) or wData (prefixed with w) means relative or weighted Data. We use both depending on the context, but simply put these are viewed in relation to the field for any given event: "weighted to the field" or "relative to the field".

For example, take Player A and Player B. They played in two different events and their Driving Accuracy in their respective events was 60%. So they're the same, correct? Not necessarily. If the average driving accuracy for the event Player A competed in was 55% and the average driving accuracy for the event Player B competed in was 65% then Player A outperformed the field and Player B underperformed. Their rData for Driving Accuracy would be 5% and -5%, respectively. This means that Player A has hit 5% more fairways than the field and Player B has hit 5% less.

Simply put, when the rData for any player is 0 for any stat it means they are performing average in that stat against the fields they have played against. Be sure to consider the stat type. In the above example, a positive % for driving accuracy is a good thing. However, for a statistic like proximity, a negative number (such as -3.4) would be better because it means the player is hitting their approach shots 3.4 feet closer to the hole than average.

We feel that this is the most important way to look at individual statistics as different courses and fields provide different challenges and skillsets.

*Note: You'll notice there is no rData for Strokes Gained data. This is because Strokes Gained is already calculated against the field.

Not yet. We have offered a few versions over the years, but right now we are just focused on content and data since there are many good premium optimizers out there. We recommend 2 Optimizers for our members (RotoGrinders, Sabersim), no particular preference besides your price sensitivity and if you are interested in other sports.

Yes! All of our projections and ownership are the result of our simulations on millions of records of data from historical ownership, odds, field strength, form, course history and DFS Pricing. Custom user-configured simulations are in the works for you.
